- After buying my 28800 modem I found out, that i ve got a 8250
- Uart-chip and that I have to look for an extra serial port card.
- After some netsearching I found 2 solutions.
- One is buying a 16550 or 16650 Uart serial port card,
- the other was getting the Hayes ESP Communication Accelerator
- which has a 1024 byte buffer and a communication Co-Processor and
- allows throughput up to 200.000 bps with special software.
- (dont ask me what this thing does eccept doing some work for the main
- processor)
- So has anyone heard of the esp seriall port card or uses it ???
- Another question :
- Where can I get this card in London ???
